My Former, Present and Future Life

What is new in NE MO?

Let's see...

We had an ice storm, while St. Louis got hit with another winter giant storm. Then we had 22 snow flakes that day. The next day we got a dusting and of course I had to take it easy walking so I went through the garden to the back door and was showing my husband how to walk down hills on ice and/or snow.

It was at that point I hit a clump of snow and ice covered dirt. Of course I fell what else was there to do. I mean I did divert my eyes for just about 30 seconds.

My husband said see if I don't help you, you always fall. That is blatenly false as I have fallen once and have been to the truck and back nearly a thousand times. So I fell. He made me go to the doctor for exrays to see no breaks or chipped bones were floating around there. Well I was right. I am fine the doctor's office said that "I am just fine" so am I cured of all of my disorders and other problems because I fell.

If that were the cure we should all fall down with the London Bridge, eventhough it connects a man made canal with a man made island with the rest of the desert called Lake Mead and the surround or next town. (In Arizona)

Well I am still having spasms in my knee and back so I suppose that what the nurse meant to say is nothing is broken in my body. It started bruising this morning. Oh the joy of a bruise. You are constantly hitting it on something or someone else is hitting it for you; my dog has the uncanny ability to jump right on it every time she jumps on the bed. I didn't feel too bad or singled out as she does the same thing to my husband.

Well that is the interesting news so far this week I wonder what is left for the next two days.

Everyone take care and and have a great weekend! Beth.

London Bridge is at Lake Havasu not Lake Mead. Lake Mead is formed by Hoover Dam (aka Boulder Dam) just south of Vegas. I've been to both lakes and I'd pick Lake Mead any day. On a side note, my wife an I go our unity candle and the tapers for it custom made from a candleshop right by London Bridge at Lake Havasu.

PuriCristos, thanks for clearing that up for me. All I remember of the London Bridge is that tractor trailers can not go over it. We brought a load of furniture for a hotel and we got to spend the night in the hotel as they couldn't get all of the furniture out, they were doing it by hand and had 2 younger men who just didn't work fast.

So from there we went across town (in Lake Havasu) and picked up a load of plastic to take into the terminal in Phoenix so we could take our time off.

If you are familar with the area we had to go around the dam, because it was after 9/11 and so we wound up in Needles CA. I had a fibroid tumor or two burst and there was no place to stop to go to the ER. When we got to a phone I called my dr who said it is just as far for the ambulance to get to you as it is to come on into town. He also told my husband (who is an EMT) that if I passed out to just pull over in the nearest town. Yea right, Parumph? So he also said I needed to eat a lot of beef. So lucklily we were at Wendys and I got a triple burger with bacon of course and I ate the whole thing. It was a task that is more than I eat in two meals not one sitting. So off to the valley we went and my sister picked us up and dropped me off at the hospital and let my husband take her home and come back to see what they were doing with me. They of course gave me the shot (can't remember the name) to stop the bleeding.

I had an appointment with my gynocologist and he did a biopsy. No one told me to bring a driver. I made it half way home and turned into my Mom's and waited for someone to feel good enough to drive me home. My husband was back out on the road at this time.

I was sent to Dr. Yosewitz, yes a very funny Jewish doctor, we always swapped jokes. He did my hysterectomy on 10/31/02. I wound up with interstial fluid and had to go back in as the fluid caused a secondary infection.

Now I have my left ovary that decided to move into the scar tissue from that surgery and I have found out that I make multiple eggs from both ovaries. So because my right ovary enlarges itself every time I ovulate I have right flank pain and lower left flank pain.

I wish he'd taken them too. Well now you know my whole gyno history, except that I have two children one 20" and the other 21" (my daughter who bruised and cracked a rib(s). She is an excellent soccer player. No kidding.

Thanks for the memories of the good old days of truckin' with my husband.

Beth.
